Ramen lovers you’re in for a treat… Ippudo has opened yet another one of its fantastic Japenese restaurants in the heart of Sydney’s Central Park, joining it’s popular Westfield restaurant.

Sydney Social 101 went along to the launch to check it all out, and boy, were we in for a treat!

Ippudo provided a selection of delicious starters, including a tasty Nikumiso Tofu Salad, perfectly cooked Chashu Croquette and stunning Seared Salmon Sushi to start alongside a glass of celebratory Sake (Japanese rice wine).

For the main, I went with Shiromaru Motoaji – Ippudo’s original tonkotsu broth served with thin noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, black mushrooms & spring onions – a classic Hakata-style ramen. The flavours were rich and the portion sizes were great, (I just wish I’d saved enough room after the delicious starters!), so if filling and tasty is your thing, this is perfect for you.

It’s located on the lower ground floor of Central Park, which is a great location, just off Broadway, and surrounded by a selection of restaurants with a modern terrace area.

The average price for a main meal is around $19, which is slightly high for ramen, but for the great service and relaxed environment, I think that little bit extra is definitely worth it.
